| Yvonne Mouser
We met Yvonne when we put our son in Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) lessons. She was our instructor one summer and after teaching Cody to swim like a champ, her daughters, Reyna and Sarah, fell in love with Zoe and my other horses.
Reyna (with her Mom's help) decided she wanted to raise money to help take care of Zoe and has been doing so ever since... and Yvonne began coming up with all kind of other fundraising ideas as well, so we asked her to be on our Board. She gives swim/survival lessons (ISR), hosts Pampered Chef events, is member of the Oviedo Women's Club, and is one heck of a golfer (just don't stand too close when she's teeing off).
Barbie Kent Barbie came to us through Yvonne. She owns a day care/preschool called All God's Children, runs Art, Glass, and Ceramic shows, and takes care of her two kids, Traelynn and Travernor. Her daughter, Traelynn fell in love with Handsome (one of my other horses) and I am teaching her how to be a cowgirl. She is wearing pink boots on Handsome in left photo.

| Steve Eichenblatt Steve is also one of our Founders and Vice Pres of Our Rescue. He and Michelle are married and started the Rescue after fostering Zoe for another local rescue. Steve is an attorney with Page, Eichenblatt, Burnbaum, and Bennett, a law firm in Orlando, FL, and is also involved in developing leadership in kids in local highschools, raises funds for various charities and causes (Rob Graham and Make A Wish are a few), and also sponsors several organizations and events (Michelle Akers Classic, a central Florida HS girls soccer tourney) is one). Steve is a fishing maniac and if it was his choice, he would retire today, live on a lake, and fish all day every day for the rest of his life.

Michelle Akers
Michelle is one of the Founders and President of Our Horse Rescue. She played soccer for the United States Women's National Team from 1985-2000. When she retired, she began chasing her dream to be a cowgirl and paramedic. After the paramedic dream was put out to pasture (due to injuries), she began to focus more on her horses and learning natural horsemanship, and later met and married Steve (above) and had a son, Cody (2003). After fostering Zoe, Michelle and Steve decided to start their own Rescue, so they could rescue and help unwanted, abused, and neglected horses be healthy and happy in both body and soul.

We believe it is a crime to abuse horses... it is our responsibility as citizens in our community to report abusive behavior (neglect and abandonment included) to authorities and to educate people about horse abuse and the options we all have to stop it.
We believe horses deserve a safe and caring home with adequate food, water, shelter, and room to roam with horse companionship and a respectful, positive partnership with their humans.
We believe horses are more than just a physical body... in order to thrive, they must be healthy and happy in both body and soul. It is therefore our responsibility to provide conditions which encourage health and happiness in our horses.
